Dr Vikash Ramiah led a team of RMIT University researchers that conducted a wide ranging survey of Australian corporate treasurers to study both changes in corporate treasury management practice post-GFC and to analyse the impact of behavioural biases on the decisions of corporate treasurers.
The behaviour of corporate treasurers in response to different economic circumstances and incentives is an area that has been relatively untouched, particularly in an Australian context. Dr Ramiah and his team explore these issues in two award winning papers that are forthcoming in international journals.

In this interactive Boardroom Briefing, Dr Ramiah provides a sneak peek into the insights derived from his study and the implications of these findings for both future trends in corporate treasury management post-crisis and in designing an effective corporate treasury management function.
